Enhancing Your Site with WebKit
WebKit is an open source browser engine. Apple uses WebKit in Safari, Mail, and other applications. Google’s Chrome browser, along with the S60 browser and the iPhone browser, is also built on WebKit. Some of the cool features of WebKit is transitions and transforms. With purely CSS you can create stunning animations. Your site will still work in other browsers, but the users with WebKit browsers will just get a slightly better experience.

Stiern.com Relaunch
Hello, and welcome to the relaunch of Stiern.com. My former design was ugly, and so I decided to make a new one. I like it, and I hope you’ll like it too. I’ve decided not to support IE6, as the target group of this website is not IE6 users. As with many new sites, there can be some issues. I hope that you will not hesitate to contact me if you find anything unusual around here – thanks!
Well, I won’t bother you with more of this. I’ll get something posted in the near future for your pleasure.

Which Social Networks Are You Part Of?
Social networking has eventually become crucial for surviving (!), and it seems there are endless posibilities as to finding the right ones to be part of. For me, it all started with Facebook about two years ago. My friends tried to convince me to sign up, and I finally gave in. Since then, Facebook has developed in to a commercial monster, and I hardly log on anymore. But still, Facebook was where it begun. My interest in social networks has only grown since then, and I tell you, there is a cornucopia of social networks out there. But which ones should you be a part of? It is a jungle. I’d like to take you through the social networks I’m a part of, and also mention a few that I’ll never be a part of.

Great Designers to get Inspired by
When I first started out doing web design, and other types of design, I looked for people to get inspired by. I’m not only inspired by their graphical work, but also by their methods of working and acting on the Internet. I’ve tried to collect a list of people I get inspired by. These guys are amongst the greatest artists out there right now, so you should have a look at their work. For each person, I’ve collected some great interviews that I hope you’ll enjoy reading.

Finding Inspiration in Music
When I make websites, business cards, logos, when I walk, workout, or relax, I listen to music. Music has always had a massive impact on my life; I’ve listened to music since the day I was born. But different genres suits different purposes. I’d like to give you insight in which music I listen to, and find inspiration in. Music has a great way of touching people. Music can make you laugh, cry, shout, etc. It is also a great source of inspiration. Make yourself a cup of coffee, sit down in your couch, and turn up your stereo. Close your eyes, and soon you’ll find yourself creating images matching the music you listen to.

Changing the Size of the Avatar in WordPress 2.7
The default size of an avatar is 32x32px, which I think is a bit small. Therefore, I’d like to change it to 60x60px instead. But back in the good ol’ 2.6 days, and of course also earlier, changing the size of an avatar (the little picture shown e.g. in comments) was a pain. Now, with WordPress 2.7 it’s easier than ever!

No More Invalid RSS
When I made this site, I spend hours figuring out why my feed wasn’t working. There are several examples in the WordPress Support Forums telling, that feeds aren’t working because of a blank line in the beginning of the feed before the XML declaration. Some feedreaders have no problem with this, but Feedburner does. And Feedburner is very important.

Character Entity Chart PDF
When I make websites, I often need to know character and numeric entities. I remember the most common, such as & and ©, but what if I need other characters? I found a wonderful article over at Roselli.org, where Adrian Roselli has made a complete list of character and numeric entities. But I’d like to have those tables in a single PDF that I can view offline. So I made one, and you can download it completely free!
Thanks to Adrian Roselli for making the job easy!

Installing Concrete5 locally on Mac OS X
If you don’t have your own webserver, or if you don’t want to waste your traffic on uploading your files everytime you make a small edit, you should consider running it all locally, and then when you’re done uploading it to your server.
It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of WordPress, and I have been using it for ages. But for some clients, WordPress is overkill. There’s a lot of Content Management Systems out there, and a lot of them suck, lack features, or have too many features. But then I found Concrete5, which is absolutely amazing.
